Crime of the Week 10/30/00

The Sheriff's  Dept. is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on October 22nd around 1:45 a.m. Crime Stoppers is offering up to one thousand dollars to the person that can I.D. this suspect and get him arrested.

     The victim is the Texaco located at 2059 Highway 70 east. A white male with short dark hair and a goatee entered the business demanding money.  The suspect was acting as if he had a weapon under his shirt.   After it was all over, the suspect got away with an undetermined amount of money.   Luckily, no one was injured.

The Madison County Sheriff's Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on October 29th at the same location - Texaco on 2059 Hwy. 70 E. shortly after 8:00 p.m.

Suspect is described as a white/male, 5'5" to 5'6" tall, 160 lbs.  He was last seen wearing a baseball cap with an "A" on it, gray shirt, blue jeans, white sock and high-top boots.  Suspect is believed to be driving a dark colored small to medium size car.
